Keeping you updated
We establish good client relations as part of our software development management method. Due to the nature of software development, you as a customer, will have to arm yourself with patience. As a general rule, you will not see anything you "can click on" before the project is about 80% to 90% finished. We do this to avoid:
- making you feel nervous because part of the software may not yet be up and running;
- delay due to you asking many questions, which we then have to spend time answering above and beyond the normal information flow;
- delay due to requests for too many changes. It happens often that when a customer sees a half-completed software, then ideas come flowing in. When the idea comes, so does the request for change, and with the request for change comes delays which the software industry is so famous for.
The above should not be misunderstood that we do not inform you or that you cannot request for changes. In fact, it is our practice to regularly inform our clients about the progress of the project—we constantly provide substantial client update.
Regarding communication, all transactions between us and the clients, as well as among our developers, are done in English. All mails and documents containing information about the project must also be written in English. The reason is that the price does not include translation from German, French, or Danish to English. Our team of software developers in Manila fluently speak understand English, but not European languages. We also agree on a fixed weekly or biweekly schedule for meetings where we inform you of the progress. These meetings are conducted using Skype.
We of course accommodate changes and additions, as this is an integral part of the software development process. Read our effective practice regarding changes and additions on software that we develop.
