Getting Started

We offer the following services/products:

Web development, primarily in C# with SQL server as database
Setting up web sites based on our customer’s CMS systems
Repairing and modernizing existing web sites created for older browser versions
Development of web applications and web sites based on RainbowPortal or DotNetNuke open source CMS
Hiring out developers on an hourly basis

Language and communication
All communication is done in English at all times to facilitate a universal way of sharing information with others. We primarily use Skype VOIP for voice communication as well as Microsoft Groove sharing of project files.

Development specifications
There are two options: either the client provides us with detailed development specification, or 1902 makes them based on the requirements and information provided by the client. Whichever way it is done, the client is responsible that the development specifications comply with all their requirements.

Project management
The client may choose to manage the project or 1902 may take care of this. When 1902 manages a project—and when we are allowed to speak directly to the end user—we often save money and achieve better results.

Project changes and additions
Necessary changes and modifications will be implemented by 1902. If changes can be fully estimated, then we will quote a fixed price. Otherwise, such changes will be charged through hourly billing.

Prices
The initial dialogue about a new project is free of charge. If the customer can provide us with complete requirements and development specifications, then we can often give a fixed price. The same holds true if we make the development specifications.

If we understand the scope of the project, then we can give a fixed price for creating the development specifications provided that the project does not change its initial scope or size. If there are too many unknown elements, or if the project is very big, then we do development specifications through hourly billing or by breaking down the project into manageable project phases.

Often, when a project is about to be finished, the customer wants changes and modifications. The time spent discussing this can be substantial, for which reason we do this through hourly billing.

Working hours and meeting times
We work 45 hours every week from 08:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Philippines is GMT + 8. As a general rule, all meetings should be conducted within this time frame.
